NOTE TO USERS: in order to input Chinese characters using handwriting, the built-in handwriting keyboard HAS to be enabled via the Settings menu:
- Press the Home button
- Hit the Settings icon
- Hit General -> Keyboard -> Keyboard -> Add New Keyboard -> Chinese Simplified Handwriting.
